Automated capital optimization

Capital efficiency for independent consultants, even between projects

Numoves applies a risk-adaptation engine to the cash sitting in your business accounts. It reads your billing pattern, learns your risk tolerance, and reallocates surplus capital automatically — without you logging in between contracts.

The income volatility freelancers accept as normal

High-earning consultants rarely have a stable monthly income. A single large contract can be followed by eight weeks without a signed invoice. Tax provisions, VAT, and personal drawings still need to be met on schedule, regardless of when the next payment lands. Most freelancers manage this by holding excess cash in a current account earning close to nothing, treating idle capital as the price of flexibility.

The risk-adaptation engine

Numoves monitors the capital held in your connected business accounts on a continuous basis. Rather than applying one fixed strategy to every client, the underlying model observes how your income arrives — the size, frequency, and seasonality of your invoices — and calibrates a risk profile specific to your cash flow, not a generic one assigned by account size.

What the view looks like in practice

A single screen shows your current liquidity buffer, the capital currently allocated to risk-adjusted instruments, and the projected date of your next anticipated drawdown. Every rebalancing action is logged with the reasoning behind it, so each decision can be reviewed after the fact rather than taken on faith.

Nothing moves outside the boundaries you define at setup. The engine proposes and executes within those limits; it does not expand them on its own.

How the analysis becomes a decision

Each stage is visible to you, and each one feeds the next. There is no step where capital moves without a traceable cause.

1

Ingestion

Account balances, invoice history, and billing cycles are ingested continuously from your connected accounts.

2

Analysis

The model compares your current cash position against your historical pattern and your stated risk profile.

3

Optimization

Capital above your defined liquidity buffer is matched to a risk-adjusted allocation suited to your current pipeline visibility.

4

Execution

Approved allocations are executed within your set thresholds, with every action recorded for later review.

Between lulls and peak billing periods

The same engine behaves differently depending on where you sit in your billing cycle. It is built to respond to both ends of that cycle, not just the comfortable one.

Low liquidity, between projects

When no new contract has been signed and your pipeline visibility drops, the engine tightens its risk posture automatically. Exposure to volatility is reduced, and your defined liquidity buffer is protected first, before any further allocation decisions are made.

Surplus capital, peak billing

When invoices clear faster than planned spending requires, capital above your buffer is identified and allocated to risk-adjusted instruments consistent with your current profile, rather than left in a current account until your next manual review.

Net effect: capital continues to work during quiet periods instead of sitting idle, while exposure during contract gaps is kept within limits you have already approved.

Questions on security, thresholds, and liquidity

How does Numoves determine my risk tolerance?

Your risk profile is set during onboarding based on your stated preferences and your account's billing history. It is then recalibrated over time as your actual cash flow pattern becomes clearer, within the boundaries you originally approved.

Can I override an automated rebalancing decision?

Yes. Every rebalancing action can be paused, reversed, or adjusted from your account. Automation handles the routine decisions; the thresholds and final authority remain with you.

What is the minimum liquidity buffer Numoves maintains?

You define this buffer yourself when you set up your account. It represents the amount the engine will not reallocate under any circumstance, regardless of forecast conditions.

Is my capital held by Numoves?

No. Capital remains in accounts you control. Numoves issues allocation instructions based on the thresholds you have approved; it does not take custody of your funds.

What happens to my account data?

Account and transaction data used for analysis is encrypted in transit and at rest. It is used solely to calibrate your risk profile and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Security and compliance note: connections to your accounts use read access where possible, and every automated action is logged with a timestamp and rationale, available for your own review at any time.

Put idle capital to work between contracts

Connect your accounts, set your liquidity buffer and risk thresholds, and let the engine handle the allocation decisions you would otherwise defer.
